Ja, genau
vor einem Monat bin ich in La Digue angekommen! - Wer hätte gedacht, dass ich
so lange bleiben würde und sehr wahrscheinlich noch länger!? Als ich Mitte
Dezember eine Unterkunft auf La Digue suchte, erhielt ich Preise wie
Telefonnummern und dachte, dass ich La Digue auf Tagesausflügen von Praslin aus
kennenlernen würde... bis das Angebot von Lindy vom Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com)
kam! : ) Und nun kenn ich fast jeden Flecken dieser Insel!
Die
Corona Situation macht es nirgendwo leichter zu sein, auch nicht als Reisender,
wenn fast alles zu ist! Alle werden in ihre eigenen 4 Wände verbannt und
hemmungslos den Medien ausgeliefert und von ihnen manipuliert... Wie ich
bereits ganz am Anfang der Epidemie in Indien im März vergangenen Jahres
proklamiert hatte: Angst macht alles noch viel schlimmer! : (
Auf La
Digue gibt es gegenwärtig noch keinen Fall, aber einige auf Mahé... Seit 2
Wochen gibt es überall auf den Seychellen freiwillige gratis Impfungen (aus
China - viele Witze machen die Runde!)... - Ich will so wenig wie möglich über
die Handhabung der Menschen wissen: Was wissen wir schon!? Wir kennen nur die
Vergangenheit... und ich will mich keinesfalls mit Angst schwächen: Ich
akzeptiere den Virus, wie alles andere Natürliche auch, aber fokussieren ihn
nicht - es gibt vieles Lebenswerteres mehr!!! Zudem sehe ich den Corona als
Gentlemen Virus: Er nimmt nur die Kranken und Schwachen... und davon gibt es
viel zu viele, wie auch viel zu viele Menschen, die gar nicht mehr wissen was
Menschsein ist! Wir dürfen nicht mal sterben - Sterben ist ein Tabu - und gegen
alles gibt es eine Medizin... die Menschen versuchen sogar den Tod zu
kontrollieren... dabei: Wenn wir leben, können wir auch in Frieden sterben...
Yes, I arrived in La Digue exactly a month ago! - Who would have thought
that I stayed here for so long and very probably even longer!? When I was
looking for accommodation on La Digue mid December, I received prices like
phone numbers and thought that I would get to know La Digue on day trips from
Praslin... until Lindy's offer came from Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com)! : )
And now I know almost every little spot of this island!
The Corona situation doesn't make it easier to be anywhere, not even as
a traveller, when almost everything is closed! Everyone is banished to their
own four walls and unrestrainedly exposed to the media and manipulated by it...
As I already proclaimed at the very beginning of the epidemic in India in March
last year: Fear makes everything worse! : (
There is currently no case on La Digue, but a few on Mahé... Since 2
weeks there have been voluntary free vaccinations all over the Seychelles (from
China - a lot of jokes are going around!)... - I really don't want to know
about the handling people undertake: What do we know!? All we know is the
past... and I do not want to weaken myself with fear: I accept the virus, like
everything else, but do not focus on it - there are many more things worth
living for!!! Admittedly I have to say, that I see the Corona as a gentlemen
virus: It only takes the sick and weak... and there are far too many of them,
as well as far too many people who no longer know what it means to be human! We
are not allowed to die - dying is a taboo - and there is a medicine against everything...
humans even try to control death... but if we live, we can die in peace...

Viel Regen und Abfall dominierten diese Woche. An 2 Tagen regnete es ununterbrochen so heftig, dass ich das Hotel gar nicht verliess... Bei stark wechselhaftem Wetter kann man nicht wirklich viel planen - spontan sein ist die Devise! Und mit meiner Tagestasche voller Überraschungen war ich für jede Situation gerüstet - für einen Drink in der Bikini Bottom Bar (https://www.facebook.com/search/posts/?q=bikini%20bottom) wie auch zum Abfall sammeln! ; )
Lots of rain and litter dominated this week. For 2 days it rained so
heavily that I didn't leave the hotel at all... With extremely changeable
weather you cannot really plan much - being spontaneous is the motto! And with
my day bag full of surprises, I was prepared for every situation - for a drink
at the Bikini Bottom Bar (https://www.facebook.com/search/posts/?q=bikini%20bottom) well as for collecting rubbish! ; )

Montag war der sonnensicherste Tag und ich fuhr am Mittag mit dem Fahrrad zur Grand Anse. Dort traf ich Barny und wanderte mit ihm eine halbe Stunde via Petite Anse zur Anse Cocos. Barney hatte dort eine Strandbar gebaut und offerierte mir eine Kokosnuss.
Monday was the day with the most sunshine and I rode my bike to Grand
Anse around noon. There I met Barny and we hiked for half an hour via Petite
Anse to Anse Cocos. Barny had built a beach bar there on and offered me a
coconut.

Nach einem erfrischenden Bad nahm ich die restlichen 20 Minuten zur Anse Caiman unter die Füsse. Hier war ich bisher noch nicht, ich habe den winzigen Strand bisher nur von weitem aus der Anse Fourmis beim Joggen gesehen. Und ich war geschockt, wie viel Abfall hier herumlag... ich sammelte alles zusammen und stellte es an einen sicheren Platz - jemand mit einem Boot wird es holen, Barny versicherte mir das, denn so macht er es auch mit dem Abfall auf der Anse Cocos.
After a refreshing bath, I took the remaining 20 minutes to Anse Caiman.
I haven't been here before, I've only seen the tiny beach from afar from Anse
Fourmis while jogging. And I was shocked at how much rubbish was lying around...
I gathered it all up and put it in a safe place - someone with a boat will
fetch it, that's what Barny promised me, because that's also how he deals with
the garbage on the Anse Cocos.

Diese Woche war morgens Ebbe, so dass ich beim Joggen nicht im Meer schwimmen konnte. Ich fand aber eine ideale Wanne um mich kurz zu erfrischen, bevor es nach den Dehnübungen zurück zum Hotel Patatran ging. Dort schwamm ich meine Runden im Pool und begab mich dann zum ausgiebigen Frühstück... : )
The tide was low in the mornings this week, that's why I wasn't able to
go for a swim in the ocean while jogging. But I found an ideal tub to refresh
myself briefly before going back to the Hotel Patatran after some stretching
exercises. I swam my laps in the hotel pool and then went to a hearty
breakfast... : )

Am Donnerstag Abend traf ich Tom in der Bikini Bottom Bar. Heute hatten wir vor den Vollmond über Felicité aufgehen zu sehen und zu fotografieren... Dazu genossen wir einen Lobster im Hotel Patatran. Der Mond versteckte sich zwar meistens hinter den Wolken, der Hummer war dafür nicht zu übertreffen! : ))

On Thursday evening I met Tom at the Bikini Bottom Bar. Today we
intended to see the full moon rising over Felicité and take photos... And we enjoyed
a lobster at the Hotel Patatran. The moon was mostly hiding behind the clouds,
but the lobster was not to beat! : ))
