Nun
standen bereits die letzten Tage auf Praslin an, bevor wir nächste Woche Montag
nach La Digue weiterreisen würden… und die genossen wir in unseren geräumigen Appartements
im Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com)
auf der Grand Anse in vollen Zügen: mit Jogging und Schwimmen oder Baden, einem
Besuch beim Farmer Danny sowie in der Black Pearl Farm (https://www.blackpearlseychelles.com),
beides in der Nähe des Flughafens. Wenn da nur nicht so viele Sandfliegen
wären, die uns attackierten sobald sie uns aufspürten. Es sind sehr kleine
Fliegen, die ihre Eier in unsere Haut ablegen… das gibt dann eben diese
Infektionen, die mir seit den letzten 4 Monaten das Leben schwer machen und
wegen deren ich bereits 3 x 1 Woche Antibiotika einnehmen musste! : ( Nun wurde
auch meine Mutter und Hansruedi befallen…
The last days on Praslin were already due before we would travel to La Digue on Monday next week... and we enjoyed them to the fullest in our spacious apartments in Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) on Grand Anse: with jogging and swimming or bathing, a visit to Farmer Danny and the Black Pearl Farm (https://www.blackpearlseychelles.com), both near the airport. If only there weren't so many sand flies that attacked us as soon as they sensed us. They are very small that lay their eggs in our skin... that’s probably how my infections started, which have made my life difficult for the last past 4 months and because of which I had to take antibiotics 3 x for 1 week! : ( Now my mother and Hansruedi were also bitten...

Am
Freitag kam es noch schlimmer! Um 9:30 Uhr hatten wir uns mit Larry von Bubbles
Boat Charter (https://www.facebook.com/Bubbles-boat-charter-2079192542200414)
am Jetty Grand Anse verabredet um mit Larry, Marcus und Said zur Cousin Island (http://www.cousinisland.net) zu
fahren. Ich war bereits letzten Dezember auf diesem vorgelagerten Vogelparadies,
wo in der ehemaligen Kokosnussplantage 1968 das Projekt BirdLife startete. Im
Dezember war das Meer wilder und wir machten eine spektakuläre Landung auf
Cousin: Die Angestellten sind geschult und holen die Besucher mit einem Boot von
den Ausflugsbooten ab, denn nur sie wissen wie man wann und wo auf Cousin
sicher landet! Damals hatte es keine einzige Mücke – was wir aber heute dort antrafen,
war einfach zuuu viel: Die Mücken hefteten sich wie auf ein Kommando von allen
Seiten auf alles, worin Blut floss! Wir hatten uns von Kopf bis Fuss mit einem
Schutz eingecremt und bedeckten uns mit einem grossen Tuch – trotzdem waren wir
während der ganzen Tour nur auf der Flucht und am Ende von Kopf bis Fuss voller
blutiger Mückenstiche! So schade, dass wir die zutraulichen Seychellendajale, Feenseeschwalben,
Weissschwanz Tropikvögel, Noddis und anderen Vögel und Tiere nicht geniessen konnten!
And it even got worse on Friday! At 9:30 am we met Larry from Bubbles Boat Charter (https://www.facebook.com/Bubbles-boat-charter-2079192542200414) at the Jetty Grand Anse to drive to Cousin Island (http://www.cousinisland.net). I was already in December on this offshore bird paradise, where the project BirdLife started in 1968 on the former coconut plantation. Last December the sea was wilder and we made a spectacular landing on Cousin: The employees are trained and pick up visitors from the excursion boats with a boat, because only they know how to land safely when and where on Cousin! Back then there wasn't a single mosquito - but what we encountered there today was just tooooo much: As if on a command the mosquitoes attached appeared from all sides and themselves to everything in which blood was flowing! We had covered ourselves with a repellent from head to toe and a large towel - nevertheless during the entire tour we were only on the run and full of bloody mosquito bites after all! It is such a shame that we could not enjoy the trusting magpie robins, fairy terns, white tail tropical birds, noddies and other birds and animals!

und einem ebensolchen Abendessen: bei Georgette in der Villa Anse La Blague (https://www.villaanselablague.com), Pizza im Paradiser (https://www.facebook.com/reataurantparadiser),
das beste Restaurant der Seychellen Les Rochers (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Les%20Rochers,%20Praslin,%20Seychelles/695383024175324)
und unseren letzten Abend verbrachten wir dort, wo wir vor 10 Tagen auf Praslin
begonnen hatten: im Beach House des Hotel Bliss (https://bliss-praslin.net/en/bliss-beach-house.html)…
