Ja, das
war ein spezieller Geburtstag mit Inselwechsel – zeitlich gesehen war es 2017 noch
spezieller: Als ich an meinem Geburtstag im Südpazifik von American Samoa
zurück nach Upolu, Samoa, flog, flog ich einen Tag in die Zukunft! Mein
Geburtstag dauerte nur einen halben Tag, da ich den kurzen Flug (der keine
halbe Stunde dauerte) am Mittag über die Zeitgrenze antrat…
Yes, that was a special birthday with a change of islands - in terms of time it was even more special in 2017: When I flew from American Samoa back to Upolu, Samoa, in the South Pacific on my birthday, I flew one day into the future! My birthday only lasted half a day, as I took the short (which did not even take half an hour) flight over time zones at noon...

Den
Morgen meines Geburtstages (was ich eigentlich nicht so etwas Wichtiges finde –
man lernt zählen und staunen!) verbrachten wir auf Praslin. Wir packten und brauchten
unsere Reste zum Frühstück auf, denn danach werden wir die Halbpension im Hotel
Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com)
in La Digue geniessen! : ) Und bevor es los zum Jetty in Baie St. Anne ging,
packen wir 4 grosse Koffer, zwei kleine und einige Taschen ins Auto – nun wussten
wir ja wie!
Kurz nach
10 Uhr war es Zeit uns von Therese, Sunjoy und Jeanine von Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) zu verabschieden. Wir fuhren nochmals durchs Vallée
de Mai – das ist sehr inspirierend und zudem kürzer. Um 11:00 Uhr waren wir das
Jetty, wo uns Deepak der Aventure Car Hire (www.papacarrental.com)
erwartete und wir den Hyundai i10 zurückgaben. Eine halbe Stunde später
verliess die Inter Island Ferry (https://www.seychelles-ferry.com)
Praslin und erreichte eine 1/4 Stunde später La Digue.
We spent the morning of my birthday (which I don't really think is that important - we learn to count and wonder!) on Praslin. We packed up and used our leftovers for breakfast, because in our next place we will enjoy half board (at the Hotel Patatran https://www.patatranseychelles.com in La Digue)! : ) And before we went to the jetty in Baie St. Anne, we had to place 4 large suitcases, two small ones and a few bags in the car - now we knew how!
Shortly after 10 am it was time to say goodbye to Therese, Sunjoy and Jeanine of Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com). We drove a last time through the Vallée de Mai - that is very inspiring and also shorter. At 11:00 am we were at the jetty, where Deepak from Aventure Car Hire (www.papacarrental.com) was awaiting us to return the Hyundai i10. Half an hour later the Inter Island Ferry (https://www.seychelles-ferry.com) left Praslin and reached La Digue a quarter of an hour later.

Lindy des Hotel Patatran hatte uns ein Taxi organisiert, das uns in brütender Hitze zum Hotel an der Anse Patates fuhr. Wie schön wieder zuhause zu sein! : ) Und welch süsse Überraschung erwartete mich in meinem ‘alten’ Zimmer: Lindy höchstpersönlich hat Blumen gesammelt und sie zu einer Geburtstagsdekoration auf dem Bett arrangiert! : ))
Lindy of the Hotel Patatran had organized a taxi for us that drove us to the hotel on Anse Patates in the sweltering heat. How nice to be back home! : ) And what a sweet surprise awaited me in my ‘old’ room: Lindy herself collected flowers and arranged them for a birthday decoration on the bed! : ))

Nachdem
wir uns eingenistet hatten, machten wir einen kurzen (20 Minuten) Spaziergang
zur benachbarten Anse Severe (Richtung Jetty La Passe). Die Bikini Bottom Bar
war zu, aber das Meer lud zum Entspannen und Baden ein…
After we had settled in, we took a short (20 minutes) walk to neighbouring Anse Severe (towards Jetty La Passe). The Bikini Bottom Bar was closed, but the sea invited us to relax and take a bath...

Und dann
war es endlich Zeit unser erstes Abendessen im Hotel Patatran einzunehmen - und
das an meinem Lieblingsplatz… wie eine Prinzessin… Ja, das war ein spezieller
Geburtstag – danke! : )
