Um 10:30 Uhr nahmen Beryl und Henri (die Besitzer der Domaine de Bacova http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com) mich
mit nach Victoria, die Haupt- und einzige Stadt der Seychellen. Ich hatte ein
2. Telefon eingepackt und wollte eine einheimische Nummer lösen, die mir vieles
erleichtern würde... Eine halbe Stunde später stand ich im Cable & Wireless
(https://www.cwseychelles.com)
Shop, wurde von der netten Cristal bedient und verliess den Laden kurz darauf
mit meiner neuen Nummer der Seychellen: +248-2635948. : )
At 10:30 am Beryl and Henri (the owners of the Domaine de Bacova http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com) took me to Victoria, the capital and only city of the Seychelles. I had brought a second phone with me and wanted to get a local number that would make a lot of things easier for me... Half an hour later I was in the Cable & Wireless (https://www.cwseychelles.com) Shop and served by the nice Cristal, so that I shortly afterwards left the shop with my new number of the Seychelles: + 248-2635948. : )

Dann bestaunte und schlenderte ich durch die kleinste Hauptstadt der
Welt... etwa 30'000 Menschen leben hier, mehr als ein Drittel der
seychellischen Gesamtbevölkerung. Im Sir Selwyn Clarke Market traf ich Lambert,
den Botschafter der Maldiven, in seinem Souvenirshop - so amüsant!
Thereafter I marvelled at and strolled through the smallest capital in the world... about 30,000 people live here, more than a third of the total population of Seychelles. At Sir Selwyn Clarke Market I met Lambert, the consul of the Maldives, in his souvenir shop - so amusing!

Da ich heute noch nichts zum Frühstück hatte, trieb mich ein richtiger
Hunger ans Wasser zum Waterfront Café (https://www.facebook.com/waterfrontcafesey),
wo ich frischen Fisch, Cassava (auch Maniok oder Yucca genannt), creolische
Linsen und Chutney mit einer herrlichen Brise genoss. Gerade als ich auf den
Bus wollte, rief Henri mich an ob ich mit ihm wieder zurückfahren möchte - die
Energien fliessen hier und bescheren mir immer ein gutes Timing! : )
Since I had nothing for breakfast today, a real hunger drove me to the Waterfront Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/waterfrontcafesey) on the water, where I enjoyed fresh fish, cassava (also called manioc or yucca), Creole lentils and chutney with a wonderful breeze. Just as I was about to get on the bus, Henri called me if I would like to drive back with him - the energies flow here and always give me good timing! : )

Es war sehr heiss (30 Grad) und alles, was ich nun brauchte war eine
Abkühlung im Meer, das immerhin 3 Grad kühler und nass war! ; ) Daniel, den ich
am Sonntag hier auf dem Strand getroffen hattet und der mir heute mit der
Säuberung des Strandes Anse aux Courbes helfen wollte, stiess mit seinem Freund
Tyron dazu und wir konnten mein kleines Projekt clean & clear in den
Seychellen starten. Eigentlich dachte ich das sei hier nicht nötig, habe aber
dann doch ein Pack Plastikhandschuhe (noch aus Marokko) eingepackt und gestern
auf meinem Spaziergang zur nächsten Bucht gemerkt, dass es doch nötig war den
Leuten wieder mal bewusst zu machen ihr Paradies zu schützen... Da es Pfand
gibt auf alle Plastik- und Glasflaschen und offizielle Strandputzer gibt, ist
der Strand ziemlich sauber (aber mit vielen kleinen Glasscherben und
verrosteten Deckel)... wenn man aber ins Gebüsch schaut, graus es einen -
jedenfalls mich! Zudem finde ich es nicht okay, wenn andere unsere Drecksarbeit
tun - jeder sollte Eigenverantwortung übernehmen und seinen Dreck selber entsorgen!
- Diese Botschaft versuche ich mit meinem kleinen Projekt clean & clear zu
übermitteln und wie bereits gesagt: Die Natur ist Nummer eins und alles was wir
haben!
It was very hot (30 centigrade) and all I needed now was to cool off in the sea, which was 3 degrees cooler and wet! ; ) Daniel, whom I met here on the beach on Sunday and who wanted to help me clean up the Anse aux Courbes beach today, joined me with his friend Tyron and we were ready to start my little project clean & clear in the Seychelles. Actually I thought it would not be necessary here, but then I packed a pack of plastic gloves (still from Morocco) and noticed on my walk to the next bay yesterday that it was necessary to make people aware of protecting their paradise... Since there is a deposit on all plastic and glass bottles and official beach cleaners, the beach is pretty clean (but with a lot of small broken glass and rusted lids)... but when you look into the bushes, it horrifies you - at least me! In addition, I don't think it's okay when others do our dirty work - everyone should take responsibility and dispose of their own dirt! - I try to convey this message with my small project clean & clear and I repeat: Nature is number one and all we have!

Meine 2 neuen Freunde waren noch etwas zurückhaltend mit helfen und
posierten aber gerne für Fotos... am Schluss schleppten sie aber doch den
grossen, schweren (viel Glas!) und fast vollen Sack über den Strand zum
Abfalldepot... : ))

My 2 new friends were still a bit reluctant to help but loved to pose
for photos... in the end they dragged the big, heavy (lots of glass!) and
almost full bag across the beach to the garbage deposit... : )
