Am Montag
Morgen war es windig aber ohne Regen... das Wetter wurde immer besser, so dass
ich um 11 Uhr bei Lindy des Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) ein Fahrrad mietete um damit
eine Inseltour zu machen. Wie bereits erwähnt ist La Digue 3 x 5 km klein und
daher locker mit einem Velo zu bewältigen! : )
On Monday morning it was windy but without rain... the weather got
better and better, so I rented a bike from Lindy of the Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com)
at 11 am to go on an island tour. As already mentioned, La Digue is 3 x 5 km in
size and can therefore easily be tackled by bike! : )

Nachdem
ich in La Passe die paar Geschäfte, die offen hatten, begutachtet hatte, fuhr ich weiter
zur wunderschönen Grande Anse. Dort parkierte ich das Rad und spazierte erst
mal dem Strand entlang bis ich mich dann auf die 1 1/2-stündige Wanderung über
Petite Anse zur Anse Cocos und zurück machte. Die nordöstlichen Strände wie
Petite Anse und Anse Cocos sind nur zu Fuss oder per Boot erreichbar ist - es
sind traumhafte und saubere Strände...
After inspecting in La Passe the few shops that were open, I drove on to the
beautiful Grande Anse. There I parked the bike and first walked along the beach
until I started the 1 1/2 hour hike via Petite Anse to Anse Cocos and back. The
northeastern beaches such as Petite Anse and Anse Cocos can only be reached on
foot or by boat - they are stunning and clean beaches...

Auf dem
Rückweg besuchte ich den L'Union Estate Park (https://www.facebook.com/lunionestate) mit der meistfotografierten
Granitfelsenbucht der Welt: Anse Source d'Argent. Es versetzte mich ins Staunen
- absolut atemberaubend! Es kostet zwar Eintritt aber man kann den Park mit dem
Fahrrad befahren. - So schön kann La Digue sein aber sie ist die touristischste
Insel der Seychellen. Alles ist teurer hier, auch die Unterkünfte... zuerst
dachte ich, dass ich La Digue nur auf einer Tagestour erfahren würde, bis
Lindys Angebot im richtigen Moment kam. : )
On the way back I visited the L'Union Estate Park (https://www.facebook.com/lunionestate) with the most
photographed granite rock bay in the world: Anse Source d'Argent. I was totally
amazed - absolutely breathtaking! There is an admission fee, but you can cycle
around the park. - La Digue can be so beautiful but it is the most touristic
island in the Seychelles. Everything is more expensive here, including
accommodations... at first I thought that I would only experience La Digue ons
a day tour until Lindy's offer came at the right moment. : )

Eine
ärztliche Behandlung dagegen ist sehr günstig! Da meine Wunden (von
Sandfliegen?) nicht wirklich besserten und sich auf beide Beine ausbreiteten,
hielt ich im winzigen Spital Logan Hospital (http://www.health.gov.sc) in La Passe an. Dr. Ellison verschrieb mit
Antibiotika für 1 Woche und eine Salbe, was ich im Zimmer nebenan bezog und
bezahlte: 250 Rupien für die Konsultation und 80 für die Medikamente - total
EUR 12!
On the other hand, medical treatment is very cheap! As my wounds didn't
really improve and spread to both legs, I stopped at the tiny Logan Hospital (http://www.health.gov.sc) in La Passe. Dr.
Ellison prescribed antibiotics for 1 week and an ointment, which I both got and
paid in the room next door: 250 rupees for the consultation and 80 for the
medication - a total of EUR 12!

Nach
einem wundervollen Tag gestern 2 Stunden auf dem Rad und 2 Stunden wandern, sah
das Wetter am Dienstag wechselhaft aus... Ich beschloss am Morgen gleich joggen
und schwimmen zu gehen, so hatte ich heute schon was getan - zudem ist es der
schönste Tagesbeginn. : )
Als ich
zurück im Hotel Patatran war, begann es zu regnen... Das Wetter wurde immer
schlechter - ideal um im komfortablen Trockenen meine Wunden zu heilen...
Immerhin hatte ich an diesen beiden Tagen 12 von 22 Stränden von La Digue
gesehen! : )

After a wonderful day yesterday on the bike for 2 hours and hiking for 2
hours, the weather looked changeable on Tuesday... I decided to go for a run
and a swim in the morning, like that I had already done something today - it's
also the best way to start the day. :)
When I got back to the Hotel Patatran it started to rain... The weather
got worse and worse - ideal to heal my wounds in the comfortable shelter...
After all, on these two days I had seen 12 of 22 beaches of La Digue! : )
