Am Montag Abend in der Bikini Bottom Bar (https://www.facebook.com/search/posts/?q=bikini%20bottom) lernte ich Tom kennen. Wir hatten auf Anhieb Gesprächsstoff ohne Ende... er ist wie ich ein Globetrotter (die Seychellen sind übrigens mein 94. von 194 bereisten Ländern), liebt die Natur und ist sehr sportlich und spontan unterwegs... am nächsten Morgen trafen wir uns um 6 Uhr bei mir im Patatran zum Sunrise-Jogging - schwimmen inklusive! :  )

I met Tom on Monday evening in the Bikini Bottom Bar (https://www.facebook.com/search/posts/?q=bikini%20bottom). We immediately had endless topics of conversation... he is a globetrotter like me (by the way; Seychelles are my 94th of 194 countries travelled), loves nature and is very sporty and spontaneous... The next morning we met at 6 am at my place the Patatran for sunrise jogging - swimming included! : )

Da Tom am Dienstag mit einem Taucher zu den 4 Schwester Inseln (Marianne, Felicité, Big & Little Sister) unterwegs war, konnte ich mich zum Schnorcheln einklinken... Um 8:45 Uhr traf ich Tom, Mathias und Lana (sie kam mit mir schnorcheln) im Azzurra Dive Pro Center (https://www.ladigue.sc/dive-center.html) des Hotel Island Lodge und um 9 Uhr fuhren wir auf einem Lastwagen mit allem Material zum Hafen. Dort wartete Gino, der uns zu den schönsten Tauch- und Schnorchelplätzen brachte: Albatros und Ave Maria - 2 Felsformationen im Meer. Es war herrlich, nur bin ich immer koch nicht zufrieden mit meinen Unterwasserfotos: Wie bereits erwähnt funktioniert das Display nicht im Druck des Wassers und schnell verschiebt sich etwas, so dass ich ungewollt filme oder Schwarz-Weissaufnahmen mache...

Since Tom had on Tuesday a diver to the 4 sister islands (Marianne, Felicité, Big & Little Sister), I was able to join foe snorkelling... At 8:45 am I met Tom, Mathias and Lana (she came snorkelling with me) at the Azzurra Dive Pro Center (https://www.ladigue.sc/dive-center.html) of the Hotel Island Lodge and at 9 we drove to the port on a truck with all the equipment. Gino was waiting there and took us to the most beautiful diving and snorkelling spots: Albatros and Ave Maria - 2 rock formations in the sea. It was wonderful, but I am still not satisfied with my underwater photos: As already mentioned, the display does not work under the pressure of the water and something shifts quickly, so that I coincidentally film or take black and white photos...

Zur Feier des Tages bekochte mich Tom: Tintenfischsalat, gegrillten Fisch, Salate... lecker! Zum Dessert fuhr ich mit Stirnlampe von Lindy des Hotel Patatran (selten hat ein Velo Licht) und der Kenntnis fast aller Schlaglöcher zurück zum Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) - und ohne Schildkrötenhindernis, die sind nämlich riesig, ultra langsam und dunkel! ; )

To celebrate the day, Tom cooked for me: squid salad, grilled fish, salads... delicious! For dessert, I drove back to the Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) with Lindy's headlamp (rarely a bike has a light) and the knowledge of almost all the potholes - and without any turtle obstacles, they are huge, ultra slow and dark! ; )
