Mittwoch sah das Wetter schon viel freundlicher aus als die vorherigen Tage...
Ich genoss wie jeden Morgen eine geschlagene Stunde mein Frühstück im Hotel
Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com): einen doppelten Espresso, frisches
Obst und Saft, Brot mit Käse, Gurke und selbstgemachte Konfitüre, einen Teller
Gebäck und manchmal sogar Eier aber immer mit einer Kanne Zitronengrastee...
On Wednesday the weather looked a lot friendlier than the previous days... I enjoyed my breakfast at the Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) for a full hour, like every morning: a double espresso, fresh fruit and juice, bread with cheese, cucumber and homemade jam, a plate of pastries and sometimes even eggs any style but always with a pot of lemongrass tea...

Das
Wetter besserte sich zusehends und ich nutzte die Chance... Um 12:30 Uhr machte
ich mich mit dem Fahrrad auf den Weg nach La Passe, den Ort hier. Von dort ging
es Richtung Mitte Insel und ich musste das Velo eine halbe Stunde 200 m
aufwärts stossen... Ich parkierte es im Belle Vue und machte mich dann zu Fuss
in Flipflops und Bikini (Schuhe konnte ich wegen meiner Wunden nicht tragen und
meine Kleider waren tropfnass!) nochmals 130 m auf den höchsten Gipfel von La
Digue: Nid d'Aigle (333 m). Nach der stündigen
Rundwanderung ging es wieder sehr steil hierunter... auch mit dem Velo... zum
Glück waren die Bremsen gut und ich traf Gentlemen Jungs, die ebenfalls
runterfuhren (aber nicht das erste Mal!) und die immer wieder auf mich
warteten! : )
The weather improved noticeably and I took the chance... At 12:30 pm I set out on my bike to La Passe, the centre here. From there it went towards the middle of the island and I had to push the bike 200 m uphill for half an hour... I parked it in Belle Vue and then walked in flip-flops and bikini (I couldn't wear shoes because of my wounds and my clothes were dripping wet!) another 130 m to the highest peak of La Digue: Nid d'Aigle (333 m). After the hour-long circular hike it went down very steep once more... also with the bike... luckily the brakes were good and I met gentlemen boys who were on their way down too (but not for the first time!) and the stopped and waited for me several times! : )

Zur
Belohnung fuhr ich an die Grande Anse und genoss ein erfrischendes Bad in
atemberaubender Kulisse! : ) Ich hatte nicht alles mitgeschleppt und einiges im
Korb auf dem Fahrrad gelassen... wir sind ja schliesslich auf den Seychellen
und auf Mahé und Praslin ist nie was passiert! Aber als ich zum Velo kam, hatte
gerade einer alles durchwühlt und einen meiner wasserdichten Taschen
rausgenommen - ich ertappte ihn bei frischer Tat! Es war der Typ, dem ich
gerade eine Kokosnuss abgekauft hatte und ins Gespräch gekommen war... er erschrak
und fragte erstaunt ob das mein Rad sei, diese Tasche sei heruntergefallen... -
Ja, so nutzt jeder seine Chance! Am besten man gibt gar nicht erst die
Gelegenheit!
As a reward, I drove to Grande Anse and enjoyed a refreshing swim in a breathtaking setting! :) I hadn't taken everything with me and left some things in the basket on the bike... after all, we're in the Seychelles and nothing ever happened on Mahé and Praslin! But when I got back to the bike, someone had just rummaged through my stuff and had taken out one of my water-proof bags - I caught him red-handed! It was the guy from whom I had just bought a coconut and had had a conversation with... he was startled and asked astonished whether this was my bike, this bag had fallen off... - Yes, everyone takes his chance! It is best not to give opportunities!

Am
Donnerstag und Freitag hatten wir viel Regen, es reichte aber doch für ein trockenes
Jogging und eine ebensolche Velofahrt nach La Passe... Dort fiel mir auf, dass
plötzlich alle Masken trugen, auch auf den Fahrrädern! Ich liess mich fragend
aufklären und es ist momentan so, dass es auf La Digue keinen einzigen
Coronafall gibt und täglich neue Regeln bekannt gegeben werden, wie überall...
auch alle Restaurants und Strandbars sind geschlossen, das mal bis am 13.
Januar... - Ich bin goldrichtig hier im Hotel Patatran mit Halbpension! : ))

On Thursday and Friday we had a lot of rain, but found time for a dry run
and a similar bike ride to La Passe... There I noticed that suddenly everyone
was wearing masks, even on the bikes! I asked my way around and found out that
currently the there is not a single corona case on La Digue and new rules are
announced every day, like everywhere... all restaurants and beach bars are also
closed, for now until January 13th... - I'm really in the perfect place here at
the Hotel Patatran with half board! : ))
