Nach 3 Monaten weit weg von Massen auf La Digue und dem Katamaran Turquoise, hatte ich einen kleinen Schock hier auf Mahé: Produzieren Menschen viel Abgas und Lärm!!! : ( Auf Mahé hat es, wie fast überall auf unserem Planeten, viel zu viele Autos - zudem sind die Strassen mörderisch: schmal mit abrupten Abhängen und nicht sicher für Fussgänger konzipiert… Vor allem an Wochenenden und abends bekommt man das Gefühl, dass die Jungen nichts anderes zu tun haben als ihr aufgemotztes Auto vorzuführen: in Form einer fahrenden Disco mit Lichterbombe und/oder ohrenbetäubender Musik, mit Verzierungen wie Metallstacheln an den Rädern oder mit lautem Motor/Auspuff... weshalb erstens die Luft für nichts verpesten und zweitens muss es denn wirklich so laut sein?? - Mir kommt unweigerlich Balzverhalten mit fremden Federn geschmückt in den Sinn... Autos sind doch eigentlich lediglich ein Transportmittel!? – Die Medien haben es in ein Statussymbol verwandelt und die Menschen glauben es… unsere Plastikgeneration heutzutage scheint von den Medien erzogen worden zu sein und hat vergessen, dass wir ein Teil der Natur sind und sie in Wirklichkeit alles ist, was wir haben… : (( Wenn wir uns bewusst sind, was wir tun, dann können wir auch Sorge tragen und allem mit Respekt begegnen… auch ich hab ein Auto gemietet, benutze es aber wie zuhause nicht jeden Tag...
After 3 months away from the crowds on La Digue and the catamaran Turquoise, I had a little shock here on Mahé: People produce such a lot of exhaust gas and noise!!! : ( On Mahé, as almost everywhere on our planet, there are way too many cars - besides, the streets are murderous: narrow with abrupt slopes and surely not designed for pedestrians... Especially on weekends and evenings you get the feeling that the youngsters have nothing else to do than show off with their sexed up cars: in form of a driving disco with a light bomb and/or deafening music, with decorations such as metal spikes on the wheels or with a loud engine/exhaust pipe... firstly why polluting the air for nothing and secondly why the hell has to be that loud?? - I inevitably associate it with courtship behaviour adorned with borrowed plumes... Aren’t cars actually just a means of transport?! - The media have turned them into a status symbol and people believe... our plastic generation nowadays seems to be educated by the media and has forgotten that we are part of nature – which is strictly speaking all we have… : (( If we learn to be aware of what we do, we will take care and treat everything with respect... I also rented a car, but like at home, I don't use it every day...

Nach den extrem
heissen Tagen (32 Grad) folgte mit dem Regen eine wohltuende Abkühlung. Ich genoss
mein Studio im Le Domaine de Bacova (http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com) mit viel liegengebliebener Arbeit.
Ich ging wie immer meine 3 Mal wöchentlich joggen – hier barfuss im Bikini der
ca. 2.5 km (bei Ebbe) langen Turtel Bay entlang. Ich traf Tyron, Patrizia (die
auf Tagesbesuch auf Mahé war) und war an Lickvines (Tyrons Mutter)
Geburtstagsparty eingeladen! : )

After the extremely hot days (32 centigrade) were followed by the rain and
its pleasant cooling. I enjoyed my studio at Le Domaine de Bacova (http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com)
with a lot of abandoned work. As always, I went jogging three times a week -
here barefoot in my bikini along the 2.5 km (at low tide) long Turtel Bay. I
met Tyron, Patrizia (who was on a day visit to Mahé) and was invited at
Lickvine's (Tyron's mother) birthday party! : )
