Das Hotel
Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) war ein absoluter Glücksfall
und das Beste, was mir passieren konnte! Erstens liegt es ohne Frage an der
besten Lage der 3 x 5 km kleinen Insel La Digue und zweitens hat es ein
fantastisches Restaurant, was mir natürlich besonders während des
Semi-Lockdowns zugutekam...
Hotel Patatran (https://www.patatranseychelles.com) was an absolute godsend and the best that could have happened to me! Firstly, without question it is situated at the best location on the 3 x 5 km small island of La Digue and secondly, it has a fantastic restaurant, which of course was particularly useful during the semi-lockdown...

Glücklicherweise
wusste Lindy meine Blogger-Arbeit (ohne Werbung) zu schätzen und führte mich so
an den richtigen Ort... ich wurde von allen verwöhnt und umsorgt - das
komplette Personal liebt seinen Job, was jeden Tag zu bemerken war: Die
liebevolle Pflege des Grundstückes mit ca. 30 Zimmern, grossen Garten und Pool
und mein Tisch war morgens wie abends immer woanders wunderschön und mit viele
Liebe gedeckt. Das Frühstück, das ich eher spät einnahm, avancierte zu meiner
Lieblingsmahlzeit mit viel Obst, frischem Saft und Tee und Leckeres aus der
Hauseigenen Bäckerei-Patisserie. Das Abendessen durfte ich meistens wählen, obwohl
ich Halbpension gebucht hatte, aber ich war ja meistens auch der einzige Gast… Kurz:
Ich wurde wie eine Prinzessin behandelt! : ))
Fortunately, Lindy appreciated my blogging work (without advertising) and so led me to the right place... I was spoilt and cared for by everyone - the entire staff loves their job, which was evident every day: The loving care of the property with about 30 rooms, a large garden and pool, and my table was always beautifully set in the mornings like in the evenings. Breakfast, which I had rather late, became my favourite meal with lots of fruit, fresh fruit juice and tea, as well as goodies from the in-house bakery-patisserie. I was usually allowed to choose my dinner even though I had booked half board, yet I mostly was the only guest... In short: I was treated like a princess! : ))

Gerald eröffnete das Hotel Patatran vor fast 30 Jahren im Mai 1992, seine Schwester Lindy führt die Reception und sein Bruder Francis ist der Hauptkoch. Im Hauptgebäude sind 3 Zimmer sowie ein Konferenzzimmer untergebracht, die restlichen Zimmer sind Bungalows, alle an vorderster Meerfront, darunter 4 Honeymoonsuiten… aber mein Captain’s Room, den ich als Upgrade nach 2 Monaten hier im Hotel Patatran erhielt, ist bestimmt das schönste Zimmer auf der Insel! Für mich war es Heilung pur – jetzt habe ich keine Angst mehr vor Menschen!
Gerald opened the Hotel Patatran almost 30 years ago in May 1992, his sister Lindy runs the reception and his brother Francis is the main chef. In the main building there are 3 rooms and a conference room, the remaining rooms are bungalows, all on the seafront, including 4 honeymoon suites... but my Captain's Room, which I received as an upgrade after 2 months here at the Hotel Patatran, is definitely the most beautiful room on the Island! For me it was pure healing - now I'm no longer afraid of humans!

Wenn nur
das Problem mit meinen Beulen nicht wäre… Eine Woche nachdem ich die 2.
Antibiotikakur beendet hatte, begannen sie wieder zu wachsen und ich konnte
mich wieder 3 Tage nicht setzten – diesmal hatte ich aber eine super Idee: Ich
wickelte Eis in eine Serviette, legte diese in ein Badetuch auf meinen Stuhl
und so kühlten die heissen Vulkane für einen Moment ab. Nur nutzte dies alleine nichts, so dass ich mich zum dritten Mal stehend auf dem Fahrrad zum Logan Hospital in La Passe begab, wo mir Dr. Ellison nochmals Antibiotika für eine Woche verschrieb. : (
If there only weren't the problem with my bumps... A week after I had finished the 2nd week of antibiotics, the boils started to grow again and I couldn't sit for 3 days - but this time I had a great idea: I wrapped ice in a napkin, put it in a bath towel on my chair and the hot volcanoes cooled off for a moment. But this alone was not really solving the problem, consequently I drove my bike for the third time in standing position to Logan Hospital in La Passe, where Dr. Ellison once again prescribed antibiotics for another week. : (

Meinen
letzten Tag auf La Digue verbrachte ich auf dem Meer. Shamyl nahm mich nochmals
mit auf seiner Simplicity (https://www.facebook.com/SimplicityCharterLaDigue) zu den 4 Schwesterninseln, mit dabei war sein Bruder
Hannibal (Lester) sowie Kati und Thomas aus Bayern. Die beiden Bayern haben
ihre jährige Reise um die Welt hier auf den Seychellen begonnen und wollten
unbedingt zur Insel Marianne. Dort sollte sich ein Schiffwrack eines über 80-jährigen
Freundes befinden, der dieses Boot selbst in 12 Jahren gebaut hatte und damit
um die Welt gereist war… So verbrachten wir einen super interessanten ersten
Stopp auf Marianne mit Geschichten von Shamyl und natürlich dem Wrack, das
gerade noch einen Meter aus dem Sand ragte. Wir hatten grossen Spass, haben
viel geschnorchelt, waren auf Coco Island und gerieten am Schluss noch in einen
Schwarm Makrelen!
My last day on La Digue I spent at sea. Shamyl took me once again on his Simplicity (https://www.facebook.com/SimplicityCharterLaDigue) to the 4 Sister Islands, with his brother Hannibal (Lester) as well as Kati and Thomas from Bavaria. The two Bavarians started their year-long journey around the world here in the Seychelles and absolutely wanted to go to Marianne Island. There supposed to be a shipwreck of an over 80-year-old friend, who had built the boat himself within 12 years and had travelled around the world with it... Consequently we enjoyed a super interesting first stop on Marianne with stories from Shamyl and of course the wreck, that was peeking out of the sand just about 1 metre. We had great fun, snorkelled a lot, went to Coco Island and ended up in a school of mackerel!

Ich erlebte
hier auf La Digue die Zeit meines Lebens! Wie schön und ruhig ist es mit kaum Autos…
mir gefiel das Fahrrad- und Wanderleben und ich habe alles abgewandert und
-geradelt was möglich war! : )

I had the time of my life here on La Digue! How nice and quiet it is
with hardly any cars... I liked the cycling and hiking life and I hiked and
cycled everything that was possible. : )
