Unser
neues Zuhause für die kommenden 10 Tage Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) machte seinem Namen alle Ehre: Es war sehr heiss und
man wurde immer wieder von Schauern überrascht! Wir installierten uns erst mal,
meine Mutter schlief bei mir im Zimmer - vorher hatten wir alle ein eigenes Zimmer…
ich hab also seeehr wenig geschlafen! Sie vergass jeweils nach ihrem
Toilettengang, dass sie zurück ins Bett schlafen gehen sollte und stelle nachts
die ganze Bude auf den Kopf! So benötigten wir tagsüber eine Ruhephase und genossen
erst mal die Ruhe, die auf der 12 x 5 km kleinen Insel Praslin herrscht: merklich
weniger Autos, aber bedeutend mehr Touristen als im Dezember.
Beim
morgendlichen Jogging bemerkte ich mit Freude, dass Praslin immer noch clean
& clear ist – hier gibt es definitiv keine oder sehr wenig Arbeit die
Strände zu säubern! : ) Dafür hatte es
Sandfliegen satt und wir wurden alle befallen, sobald sie uns am Strand aufspürten…
Our new home for the next 10 days Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) lived up to its name: It was very hot with lots of sudden showers! We first installed ourselves, my mum slept in my room - before we all had our own room... so I slept veeery little! After going to the toilet, she kept on forgetting that she should go back to bed and sleep, instead she turned upside down the whole place at night! Consequently we needed a rest phase during the day and enjoyed the peace and quiet that prevails on the 12 x 5 km small island of Praslin: noticeably fewer cars, but significantly more tourists than in December.
While jogging in the mornings I noticed with pleasure that Praslin is still clean & clear - there is definitely no or very little work to clean the beaches! : ) But there were way too many sand flies and we were all infested as soon as they traced us on the beach...

Man
wusste nie wann und wo der Regen kam, aber er kam bestimmt! So hatten wir immer
eine grosse Tasche für alle Optionen dabei… Und zum Glück hatte es Restaurants,
die offen waren, um dem Regen zu entfliehen. Am Ende des Tages zeigte sich
wofür die dramatischen Wolken noch gut waren: Für eine atemberaubende Abendstimmung
und ebensolchen Sonnenuntergang! : )

We never knew when and where it would rain, but that it was sure to come!
Consequently we always had a large bag with us for all options... And luckily
there were restaurants open to escape from the rain. At the end of the day it
became clear what the dramatic clouds else were good for: For a breathtaking
evening atmosphere and just such a sunset! : )
