Heute hatten
wir einen Ausflug zur Nachbarinsel Curieuse gebucht. Sie ist mit 3,5 x 1,5 km die
5. Grösste Insel der inneren Seychellen und ich hatte sie bereits während
meines Aufenthaltes letzten Dezember hier auf Praslin besucht. Heute ging es
mit Thereses (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) Sohn Christian und seiner Angel
Tours (https://angeltours.sc) auf die
Schnorchel- und Exkursionstour inklusive Mittagessen und Wanderung…
Um 8:30 Uhr
wurden wir von Christian abgeholt, der uns aber wegen eines Unfalles mit einem Stachelrochen
nicht begleiten konnte. – Ja, auch die können sich wehren, wenn man auf sie
tritt, wie ihr Name verrät! – Am andern Ende der Grand Anse erwarteten uns Angel
(die Frau von Christian) sowie Albert (unser heutige Führer, Biologe und Koch) sowie
Skipper Mohammed. Albert startete die Tour professionell mit einem visualisierten
Briefing und dann ging es schon los! : )
Today we had booked a trip to the neighbouring island of Curieuse. With 3.5 x 1.5 km it is the 5th largest island of the inner Seychelles which I had already visited during my stay here on Praslin last December. Today we went with Therese’s (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) son Christian and his Angel Tours (https://angeltours.sc) on a snorkelling and excursion tour including lunch and hike...
At 8:30 am we were picked up by Christian, who was unable to accompany us because of an accident with a stingray. - Yes, they too can defend themselves if you step on them, just as their name suggests! - At the other end of Grand Anse, Angel (Christian's wife) as well as Albert (our guide, biologist and cook today) and skipper Mohammed were waiting for us. Albert started the tour professionally with a visualized briefing and then off we went! : )

Mit dem
Boot fuhren an der Anse Georgette vorbei zur Anse Lazio, unseren ersten Schnorchelstopp.
Die Sicht war sehr schlecht - es gibt eh keine Fotos mehr, denn die
komplizierte Unterwasser-Hülle habe ich auf Bird Island verloren! Dann ging es weiter
zum Steinhaufen St. Pierre, der mit einer super Sicht aufwartete.
We drove by boat past Anse Georgette to Anse Lazio, our first snorkelling stop. The visibility was very bad - there are no more photos anyway, because I lost the complicated underwater case on Bird Island! Then we continued to the cairn St. Pierre, which surprised with a great view.

Um 11:30 Uhr
ankerten wir in der Laraie Baie von Curieuse. Mohammed hatte uns so nah wie
möglich an den Strand gebracht, wo wir gleich von den vielen Aldabra Riesenschildkröten
in Bann genommen wurden… es hat auch eine Aufzucht und sonst einiges Kurioses
zu bestaunen bis wir eine Stunde später am schönsten gedeckten Tisch sassen – Albert
ist nicht nur ein guter Koch, sondern weiss auch, dass das Auge mitisst! : )
At 11:30 am we anchored in Laraie Bay of Curieuse. Mohammed brought us as close as possible to the beach, where we were immediately captivated by the many Aldabra giant tortoises... there is also a rearing facility and other curiosities to marvel at until an hour later we were sitting at the nicest set table - Albert is not only a good cook, but also knows that we eat with our eyes first! : )

Nach dem Mittagessen
war eine kurze Pause angesagt und dann eine 1/2-stündige Wanderung zur Anse St.
José, wo uns das Boot abholen würde. Da meine Mutter nicht mehr so sicher auf ihren
Beinen ist, fuhr sie mit dem Boot zur Bucht und ich startete gleich nach dem Essen,
damit ich schon dort war, als sie ankam! – Dafür verpasste ich das grosse
Wissen von Albert, der die andern mit einem speziellen Auge durch die Wanderung
auf dem längsten Bretterweg der Seychellen führte…
Nun
hatten wir noch genügend Zeit für ein Bad in den ruhigen und warmen Fluten… ich
machte mir und meiner Mutter ein Sandpeeling und wir trockneten bis der Rest
der Tour eintraf. Als sich dann der Allerletzte von dem herrlichen Nass trennen
konnte, ging es zurück aufs Boot und nach Praslin zur Grand Anse, wo wir um 15
Uhr nach einem weiteren genialen Tag im Paradies ankamen! : ))

After lunch a short break was announced and then a 1/2 hour hike to Anse
St. José, where the boat would pick us up. Since my mum is no longer so safe on
her feet, she took the boat to the bay and I started right after dinner, so
that I was there when she arrived! - But I missed the great knowledge of
Albert, who led the others with a special eye through the hike on the longest
boardwalk in the Seychelles...
Now we had enough time for a bath in the calm and warm waters... I made
myself and my mother a sand peeling and we dried off until the rest of the tour
arrived. When the very last one was finally able to part with the wonderful
water, we went back to the boat and to Praslin to Grand Anse, where we arrived
at 3 pm after another brilliant day in paradise! : ))
