Mittwoch
Morgen trainierte Daniel mit mir und kam mit joggen - er ist sehr fit und hat
gewiss die Gene seiner Vorfahren den Massai geerbt aber auch das Training der
Polizei merkt man ihm deutlich an... Die Flut war so hoch, dass wir ein Stück
auf der Mauer laufen mussten! Dafür war es umso herrlicher in der mit Wasser
gefüllten Turtle Bay schwimmen zu gehen! : )
Wednesday morning Daniel trained with me and came jogging - he is very fit and has certainly inherited the genes of his ancestors, the Masai, but you can also clearly notice the training of the police academy... The tide was so high that we had to run on the wall for a while! But we were rewarded with a water-filled Turtle Bay to go for a swim! : )

Am
Nachmittag traf ich Tyron an unserem Strand Anse aux Courbes, er half mir den
Strand vom angeschwemmten sowie neuen Abfall des Wochenendes zu säubern…
In the afternoon I met Tyron on our beach Anse aux Courbes, he helped me to clean the beach from the washed up and new rubbish from the weekend...

Am Abend fuhr
ich nach Eden Island und traf Clifford im Boardwalk (https://www.facebook.com/theboardwalksez). Ich hatte ihn auf der Ile
Moyenne kennengelernt, seiner Familie gehört ein Bootsunternehmen.
In the evening I drove to Eden Island and met Clifford in the Boardwalk (https://www.facebook.com/theboardwalksez). I got to know him on Ile Moyenne and his family owns a boat company.

Am
Donnerstag verlängerte ich ein weiteres Mal meinen Automietvertrag bei Teddy
& Michel der Victoria Car Hire (victoriacarhire@hotmail.co.uk) im Cap. Dann holte ich Tyron unterwegs nach
Victoria ab und machte einen Abstecher nach Eden Island bei Tag: Die moderne künstliche Insel
(gebaut um 2000) liegt auf einem riesigen unterirdisches Parkhaus. Eden ist ca.
5 km von Viktoria entfernt, hat vielen Wohnungen, Geschäften und Restaurants.
Hier ankern auch viele Yachten...
On Thursday I renewed my car rental contract with Teddy & Michel of Victoria Car Hire (victoriacarhire@hotmail.co.uk) in the Cap once more. Then I picked up Tyron on the way to Victoria and made a detour to Eden Island to see it by day: The modern artificial island (built around 2000) sits on a huge underground parking garage. Eden is located about 5 km from Victoria and has many apartments, shops and restaurants. And many yachts anchor here...

Aber das
Wichtigste: Heute holte ich meinen Pass ab mit der guten Neuigkeit, dass ich
ein Visum für meinen 3-monatigen geplanten Aufenthalt erhalten habe - jippie!!!

But the most important thing: Today I picked up my passport with the good news that I received a visa for my planned 3-month stay - yippee !!! : ))

Und das
wollten wir im Botanischen Garten (www.nbgf.sc) feiern, nur spielte das Wetter nicht mit...
es goss aus Kübeln! Wir besuchten Lick, Tyrons Mutter bei der Arbeit und
machten Besorgungen in der Stadt bis der Himmel 2 Stunden später freundlicher
aussah...
And this we intended to celebrate in the Botanical Garden (www.nbgf.sc), just the weather didn't cooperate... it poured from buckets! We visited Lick, Tyron's mother, at work and ran errands in town until the sky looked friendlier 2 hours later...

Nun war
es die perfekte Zeit für den Botanischen Garten nach dem grossen Regen! Hier im
1901 gegründeten Park hat es von jeder Spezie, die auf den Seychellen wächst,
mindestens 1 Exemplar! Unseren Hunger stillten wir 2 Stunden später in Sam’s
Pizzeria in Victoria. : )
Now it was the perfect time for the Botanical Garden after the big rain! Here in the park, founded in 1901, you can find at least 1 specimen of every species that grows in the Seychelles! 2 hours later we appeased our hunger in Sam’s pizzeria in Victoria. : )

Am
Freitag widmete ich mich ganz meinem Projekt clean & clear… wie bereits
erwähnt, gibt es auch hier auf den Seychellen viel Arbeit: Die physische Arbeit
um Strände zu säubern und die Bewusstheitsarbeit um die Strände so zu halten…
Ich hatte mir in der Stadt Pinsel besorgt, Henri bzw. Whitecliff stellte mir
Farbe und Nägel zur Verfügung und die Bretter sowie Pfähle fand ich am Strand…
On Friday I devoted myself entirely to my project clean & clear... as already mentioned, there is also a lot of work here in the Seychelles: The physical work to clean the beaches and the awareness work to keep the beaches that way... I got myself brushes in town, Henri resp. Whitecliff provided me with paint and nails and I found the boards and posts on the beach...

Zur
Belohnung fuhr ich später frisch geduscht 5,5 km Richtung Süden zur Anse
Parnel, wo ich beim Vorbeifahren das Surfers Beach (http://www.surfersbeach.sc) gesichtet hatte – genau was
ich benötigte: total unkompliziert, jeden Tag offen bis 22 Uhr und seeehr
lecker! : )

As a reward later on, I drove freshly showered, 5.5 km south to Anse
Parnel, where I had spotted Surfers Beach (http://www.surfersbeach.sc) while driving past - exactly what I
needed: totally uncomplicated, open every day until 10 pm and veeery delicious!
