Hat das geregnet dieses Wochenende! - Regen im Paradies, der allen gut tut… Die Seychellois scheinen es sich gewohnt und nehmen es wie alles andere sehr gelassen... und mit dem Wissen, dass nach dem Regen Sonnenschein folgt! : ) - Alles verändert sich ständig, das bemerkt man am besten, wenn man sich draussen aufhält…

How it rained this weekend! - Rain in paradise, good for everybody... The Seychellois seem used to it and, like everything else, take it very relaxed... and with the knowledge that sunshine follows after the rain! : ) - Everything is changing constantly, which is best noticed when you are outside...

Ich war trotzdem immer sehr früh bei Sonnenaufgang wach. Arbeit habe ich immer genug, schon nur mein Blog beansprucht 3-4 Stunden täglich: Notizen machen und daraus später Text in deutsch und englisch sowie meine besten Fotos auswählen und editieren, ins Netz stellen und die Fotos kommentieren.

Aus meinen Wanderplänen im Morne National Park wurde nichts am Samstag, so fuhr ich zum Shopping Complex Bois de Rose vor Victoria – im Regen!

Nevertheless, I was always awake very early at sunrise. There is enough work waiting, only my blog takes up 3-4 hours a day: Taking notes and later writing the text in German and English as well as selecting, editing my best photos and putting  everything online.

Nothing came of my hiking plans to the Morne National Park on Saturday, so I drove to the Bois de Rose shopping complex just before of Victoria - in the rain!

Am Sonntag war wirklich Sonntag, und nicht Regentag – so wie Tyron es mir prophezeite! ; ) Um 10 Uhr machte ich mich auf den Weg nach Victoria zum Marine Charter, wo ich mit Beryl, Henri (des Le Domaine de Bacova http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com), ihren Freunden und andern Tagestouristen und 2 Boote (https://seychellespromo.com/page/Activities/Boat-Charters/Teddy's-Glass-Bottom-Boat-1736.html) zur Insel Moyenne im St. Anne Marine Park fuhr.

Sunday was really Sunday, and not Rainday - as Tyron prophesied it to me! ; ) At 10 am I made my way to Victoria to Marine Charter, where I took a trip to the island of Moyenne and the St. Anne Marine Park with Beryl, Henri (des Le Domaine de Bacova http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com), their friends and other day trippers as well as 2 boats (https://seychellespromo.com/page/Activities/Boat-Charters/Teddy's-Glass-Bottom-Boat-1736.html).

Kaum waren wir auf Moyenne angekommen, musste ich los um die kleine (480 x 300 m) Insel auszukundschaften… Hiba, Jusef, ihre Eltern Aicha und Falah aus Palästina sowie Nada und Mohammed aus Aegypten hatte ich bereits auf dem Boot kennen gelernt und die waren sofort dabei! : ) Es führt ein Wanderweg um die Insel und man entdeckt manch Kurioses in dieser Oase der Ruhe: Die Riesenschildkröten bewegen sich frei auf der ganzen Insel – und fühlen sich dementspreched frei! : ) Neben atemberaubenden Ausblicken hat es eine kleine Kapelle mit Grabstätte sowie ein Restaurant: Das Jolly Roger (https://www.facebook.com/Jolly-Roger-Bar-Restaurant-1138105859556672), wo es um 13:30 Uhr Lunch inclusive gab – mmmhhhhh! 

As soon as we arrived on Moyenne, I had to go to explore the small (480 x 300 m) island ... Hiba, Jusef, their parents Aicha and Falah from Palestine as well as Nada and Mohammed from Egypt I had already met on the boat and they were with me immediately! : ) There is a hiking trail around the island and you discover some curiosities in this oasis of calm: The giant tortoises move freely on the entire island - and feel accordingly! : ) In addition to breathtaking views, there is a small chapel with a graveyard and a restaurant: The Jolly Roger (https://www.facebook.com/Jolly-Roger-Bar-Restaurant-1138105859556672), where lunch was included at 1:30 pm - mmmhhhhh! : )

Die Insel Moyenne gehörte dem Engländer Brendan Grimshaw, der dieses kleine freie Paradies erschuf bis er 2012 verstarb. Ein kleines Museum zeigt seine wenigen Habseligkeiten und Filme.

The island of Moyenne belonged to the Englishman Brendan Grimshaw, who created this little free paradise until he passed away in 2012. A small museum shows his few belongings and some films.

Nach dem Mittagessen (viel Fisch und Salat) probierte ich zum ersten Mal meine wasserdichte Handyhülle aus… zuerst hielt ich sie mit einem Stück Papier unter Wasser um zu sehen ob sie wirklich wasserdicht ist… und dann ging es los: Den ersten Fisch, den ich entdeckte war Henri! ; ) Dann aber viele Bunte, eine Schildkröte und viele Rochen. Es war echt schwierig… die Tastatur reagiert im Druck des Wassers nicht, so probierte ich alles andere aus! : )

After lunch (lots of fish and salad) I tested my waterproof cell phone case for the first time... first I held it under water with a piece of paper to see if it was really waterproof... and then I took off: The first fish that I did discovered was Henri! ; ) But then lots of colourful ones, a turtle and lots of rays. It was really difficult... the keyboard doesn't react in the pressure of the water, so I tried everything else! : )

Am Montag blieb ich zuhause und in der Gegend: Ich nahm mir Zeit für mein übliches Jogging und Schwimmen (3 mal die Woche seit 30 Jahren – immer, bei jedem Wetter ausser Schwimmen) und traf wie jeden Tag meine Freunde Tyron und Daniel am Strand. Zudem entdeckte ich unsere Bäckerei Pointe au Sel, wenige Meter vom Le Domaine de Bacova. Zuerst war es unerträglich heiss, dann folgte ein heftiges Gewitter und ein ebensolcher Hunger! Er führte mich direkt zum The Crown (http://www.crownbeachseychelles.com), wo mich ein lächelnder Henri, der Koch, und ein Riesenregenbogen erwartet… : )

On Monday I stayed at home and in the area: I took time for my usual jogging and swimming (3 times a week since 30 years - always, in any weather except swimming) and met my friends Tyron and Daniel on the beach like every day. I also discovered our Pointe au Sel bakery, a few meters from Le Domaine de Bacova. First it was unbearably hot, followed by a violent thunderstorm and a just as big hunger! It led me straight to The Crown (http://www.crownbeachseychelles.com), where a smiling Henri, the chef, and a giant rainbow were awaiting me... : )
