Heute war
Packen angesagt... mit schwerem Herzen verliess ich mein gemütliches Studio im Le
Domaine de Bacova (http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com)
und all mein neu gewonnenen Freunde auf Mahé... aber ich freute mich auch auf
Neues, Unbekanntes...
Today packing my bags was announced... with a heavy heart I left my cozy studio at Le Domaine de Bacova (http://www.seychellesvillasbacova.com) and all my new friends on Mahé... but at the same time I was also looking forward to the new and unknown...

Um 12:30
Uhr war mein Gepäck im Auto und ich hatte mich von Henri und seiner Familie
sowie einigen Freunden an unserem Strand Anse aux Courbes verabschiedet. Teddy
von Victoria Car Hire (victoriacarhire@hotmail.co.uk)
hatte Rafael organisiert, der mich nach Victoria zur Fähre brachte. Wir waren
eine Stunde vor Abfahrt da, so dass ich nach dem Einchecken und der
Gepäckabgabe (ich hatte wieder mal Übergewicht, das EUR 5 kostete) gerade noch
Zeit hatte im Restaurant Fishtail (https://www.facebook.com/pg/Fishtail-Seychelles-596633860375762)
einen frischen Passionssaft mit einem Schuss dunklen Takamaka (Rum der Seychellen)
zu geniessen.
Es waren
erstaunlich viele Passagiere, die anstanden um an Bord der Cat Cocos (http://www.catcocos.com) Fähre zu gehen, so
wartete ich fast bis zuletzt… Die meisten machten es sich im Innern der Fähre bequem,
das war mir aber viel zu kalt (Air Condition, was ich weder im Auto noch in den
Unterkünften benutze), so suchte ich einen Platz draussen. Um 14 Uhr legte die Pride
of Praslin ab und eine Stunde später erreichten wir das Jetty in Baie Sainte
Anne, Praslin. Dort wurde ich von Deepak der Aventure Car Hire (aventure@seychelles.net) abgeholt und
er übergab mir einen Hyundai i10 für die kommenden 2 Wochen. : )
At 12:30 pm my luggage was in the car and I had said goodbye to Henri and his family as well as some friends on our beach Anse aux Courbes. Teddy from Victoria Car Hire (victoriacarhire@hotmail.co.uk) had arranged Rafael to take me to the Jetty in Victoria. We were there an hour before departure, so after checking in and dropping off my baggage (I travelled overweight once again, which cost EUR 5), I had just enough time to enjoy a fresh passion juice with a dash of dark Takamaka (rum of the Seychelles) at the Fishtail restaurant (https://www.facebook.com/pg/Fishtail -Seychelles-596633860375762).
There were astonishingly many passengers who queued to board the Cat Cocos (http://www.catcocos.com) ferry, so I waited almost until the very last moment... Most of them made themselves comfortable inside the ferry, that was much too cold for me (air conditioning, which I don't use neither in cars nor accommodations), so I looked for a place outside. At 2 pm the Pride of Praslin set out and an hour later we reached the Jetty in Baie Sainte Anne, Praslin. There I was picked up by Deepak from Aventure Car Hire (aventure@seychelles.net) and he handed over a Hyundai i10 for the next 2 weeks. : )

Ich hatte
vorab Unterkünfte recherchiert und Anfragen per e-mail geschickt. Da momentan
ein grosser Einbruch von Touristen herrscht, hat man eine tolle und grosse
Auswahl und die meisten Vermieter machen super Angebote… nun hatte ich sehr
viele dieser lukrativen Angebote erhalten und beschlossen alles vor Ort
anzusehen… Diesmal wollte ich an der Westküste wohnen, wo ich den
Sonnenuntergang und einen langen Strand zum Joggen habe, auch die Unterkunft
sollte möglichst auf dem Strand sein… Ich fuhr direkt Richtung Westen an die
Grande Anse und fand mein neues Zuhause 10 Minuten und 11 km später bei Therese
im Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com)
– das erste Resort, das ich mir ansah, erfüllte all meine Wünsche, so dass ich mich
gleich für 2 Wochen installierte! : )
I had researched accommodations in advance and sent inquiries by e-mail. Since there is currently a big drop in tourists, you have a great and large selection and most owners make great offers... I had received a lot of these lucrative offers and decided to have a look on site... This time I wanted to stay on the west coast, where I can see the sunset and have a long beach for jogging, the accommodation should possibly be on the beach... I drove directly west to Grande Anse and found my new home 10 minutes and 11 km later at Therese's Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) - the first resort I looked at fulfilled all my wishes, so I installed myself for 2 weeks! : )

Um 18 Uhr
begab ich mich auf den ca. 4 km langen weissen Strand und konnte meinen ersten
spektakulären Sonnenuntergang ablichten. Zudem fand ich bei meinem Spaziergang
die ersten Freunde: Basil und Couteau.
Zum Abendessen
suchte ich zu Fuss das Restaurant Paradiser (https://www.facebook.com/reataurantparadiser)
auf, nur gerade 10 Minuten Richtung Osten, und liess meinen ersten Tag auf Praslin
stilgerecht ausklingen…

At 6 pm I went to the 4 km long white beach and took pictures of my
first spectacular sunset. I also made my first friends during my walk: Basil
and Couteau.
For dinner I walked to the Paradiser (https://www.facebook.com/reataurantparadiser),
just 10 minutes on foot direction east, and ended my first day in Praslin in
style...
