Gestern
Abend bei Kuto hatten wir ein Boot für Aride (https://www.arideisland.com) organisiert; sein Sohn Eviano, der
mich letzte Woche zur Cousin Island gefahren hatte, war bereits besetzt. Jeremy
kam vorbei um alles zu besprechen und, da Doris noch nie auf Aride Island war,
lud ich sie und ihre Enkeltochter Natisha spontan ein mitzukommen.
Um 9:30
Uhr am Dienstag Morgen holte ich Doris und Natisha im Ortskern Grand Anse ab und
kurz vor 10 Uhr legte Jeremy ab. Kaum waren wir aus der ruhigen Grand Anse
Bucht, bescherten die hohen Wellen uns eine Achterbahn - fotografieren war fast
unmöglich, denn wir mussten uns festhalten! 40 Minuten später fuhren wir zu
und, wie bereits auf Cousin Island, wurden wir auch hier von einem kleinen Boot
(diesmal ein Gummiboot) abgeholt, das uns auf den Strand fuhr. Zum Glück hatte
ich uns gestern angemeldet, denn morgen wären wir vergeblich gefahren da die
Insel wegen einer Angestellten-Party geschlossen ist...
Last night at Kuto's place we had organized a boat for Aride (https://www.arideisland.com); his son Eviano, who drove me to Cousin Island last week, was already occupied. Jeremy came over to discuss everything and, since Doris had never been to Aride Island, I spontaneously invited her and her granddaughter Natisha to join me.
At 9:30 am on Tuesday morning I picked up Doris and Natisha in the centre of Grand Anse and shortly before 10 am Jeremy took off. As soon as we were out of the calm Grand Anse Bay, the high waves gave us a roller coaster - taking photos was almost impossible because we had to hold on! 40 minutes later we drove to Aride Island and, like already on Cousin Island, we were picked up by a small boat (this time a rubber boat), that drove us to the beach. Luckily I called and registered yesterday, because tomorrow we would have driven in vain there because the island is closed due to a staff party...

Aride Island
ist eine weitere Insel der Seychellen, die den Vögeln und Schildkröten hier
ungestörten Platz für ihre Aufzucht gibt. Mit Stella und Liam ging es auf eine
fast 2-stündige Tour... wir sahen sogar Küken von Weissschwanz-Tropikvögeln und
Feenseeschwalben! Die Vögel spielen
verrückt und sind sehr neugierig - wie auf Galapagos! : ))
Aride Island is another island in the Seychelles that gives birds and turtles undisturbed space to breeding. We went on an almost 2-hour tour with Stella and Liam... we even saw chicks of white-tailed tropical birds and white or fairy terns! The birds go crazy and are very curious - just like in the Galapagos! : ))

Wir hatten
absolutes Wetterglück. Als wir Aride verliessen, türmten sich die schwarzen
Wolken auf, aber wir konnten ihnen entfliehen - den grossen Wellen aber nicht...
Auch am Abend hielt mein Glück an: Mein Nachbar Paul kam herüber und
überbrachte mir Thunfilet von seinem Fang heute… und ersparte mir so den
Ausgang - ich war eh zu müde...
We were very lucky in terms of weather. When we left Aride, the black clouds piled up, but we were able to escape them - but not the big waves... In the evening my luck continued: My neighbour Paul came over and brought me tuna fillet from his catch today... this also saved me to have to go out - I was too tired anyway...

Es war so
viel Thunfisch, dass ich auch am Mittwoch genug zum Abendessen hatte: Ich
bereitete mir einen leckeren Thunfischsalat mit Tomaten und Gurken zu und
konnte so meinen letzten Tag hier auf Praslin in meinem geräumigen Zuhause im Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) voll auskosten! : ) Zudem tat mir alles weh und
ich konnte kaum sitzen, so schmerzte mein Po... Nachwehen von der Bootsfahrt
gestern nach und von Aride... Dafür waren meine Wunden endlich zugewachsen -
die Therapie von Dr. Sunjoy und der Zeit hat gewirkt! : )

There was so much tuna that I had enough for dinner on Wednesday too: I
prepared a delicious tuna salad with tomatoes and cucumber and was able to
spend my last day here on Praslin in my spacious home at Le Tropique Villa (http://www.tropiquevilla.com) to the
fullest! : ) In addition, everything hurt and I could hardly sit, that hurt my
butt... Afterpains from the boat ride yesterday to and from Aride Island... But
my wounds on my legs and feet finally closed - the therapy from Dr. Sunjoy and
time worked! : )
